Since starting my journey into photography I have always wanted to take one of those perfect looking Seattle skyline night photography shots that you always see at Ikea blown up big and put it on my wall. Every time I saw a gorgeous night shot of Seattle I wanted to buy it, but told myself I could take that picture so…why not just do it myself? So…I finally found another photographer friend, Jeremy Echols, who takes some amazing landscape shots to go out with me and try my hand at shooting some night shots of Seattle!
We started at Jose Rizal Park on the west side of Beacon Hill that has an amazing view of south Downtown and Elliot Bay. We arrived just before sunset with high hopes, but with our typical Seattle weather, didn’t get too great of a sunset. I never realized how patient you must be when doing night photography! Then we headed down to the waterfront to Pier 66 to capture the amazing view from the waterfront and the Great Wheel all lit up and finished up just as the rain started!
I am so excited with how the shots turned out and can’t wait to put one on my wall! Also can’t wait to get out there and explore and do it again!
