Do you work with a second photographer?
A second photographer can be added onto your wedding package if needed.  However, a second photographer does not automatically come with your package.  I have several great photographers that assist me when needed.

Where do you live and how far will you travel?

Up to 30 miles from Seattle or Tacoma is included in your engagement session and beyond that it is $1/mile.  Up to 60 miles from Seattle or Tacoma is included in your wedding package and beyond that it is $1 per mile.  If travel time is farther than 2 hours from Seattle or Tacoma then overnight accommodations are needed.  Planning a destination wedding?  Contact me today for a custom quote.

We want to go hike a mountain for our wedding, do we need a permit?
It depends on the location but I would be happy to help you investigate.

Do you come to the rehearsal?
I would be happy to come to your rehearsal and that can be added onto your package by simply adding hourly coverage.

How do you deliver our images?
Whether you’re one of my portrait clients or couples getting married, I deliver your photos the same way: through an online password protected gallery. This viewing/delivery gallery allows you to mark your favorite images, share them on social media, download images, order prints and send me your favorite images for your album design.

How much editing do you do to my images?
All my images get color corrections and some light touch ups if needed. My goal is always to make the image look as close as possible to how the scene looked to our eyes. If more drastic retouching is needed, it is available for an additional fee.

Do we get the images in black and white as well as color?
When editing your images I color correct them and deliver them all in color and I also deliver my favorites in addition in black and white.  If there is a specific image you would like in black and white that I did not deliver that way, just let me know!

How many images do I get with my package?
For portraits, 30 images are included with my base session. For weddings, at least 50 images per hour. All images are available for print or digital purchases (if all digitals aren’t included in your package).

Can I get every image you took?
After shooting your session, wedding or event I go through and edit down your images to the professional standard that I give to my clients for a final product. Images that don’t make this standard include: closed eyes, bad smiles, out of focus images and duplicates. You’ll get the rest!

What about the RAW files or negatives?  Can I have those?
RAW files or negatives are not available at this point in time.  Most people do not have the software to open the RAW files and also I take great pride in the final product that I provide you and want to keep the images as consistent and high quality as possible.  If there are any editing changes you would like, please let me know.

How long does it take for me to get my images?
I love sharing images as I work through your session or wedding, so you will always get a few sneak peeks from me on the day of or a couple days following your session or wedding. For your final set of images, my turnaround time for portraits is 2-4 weeks and weddings are 4-8 weeks.

Will I have print rights to my photos?
All my clients receive a print release from me giving you the rights to print your images for personal use only. This release will allow you to print your images at any printing service or print house in the world as you desire. This does not include editing or altering your final images you receive.



How does the album design process work?
After your wedding you receive your images in an online gallery.  In that gallery there is a button that is called “album” where you can favorite the images that you would like to have in your album.  Once narrowed down to around 40-50 images you submit them to me.  I create the design spreads and send you a digital copy to proof.  Along with those proofs I send you a page with all the cover and design options. If all looks good, then I go ahead and place the order!

Where do you recommend getting our images printed at?
I always recommend ordering prints directly with me. A print house I recommend that the general public can order from is Mpix.com there quality is great.  Alternatively, printing through Costco’s online service. Places I DO NOT recommend: any print station located inside an actual store, Costco, Walmart or Shutterfly. These locations use cheap paper and their machines are not calibrated for correct color.



How would you describe your style of photography?
I am a natural light, journalistic style photographer who focuses on capturing authentic moments and connections.  I have a classic film editing style so that, in 20 years you don’t look back and hate what your images look like!

Do you take posed family photos?
Absolutely!  Family photos are one of the most important part of your wedding day.

Can we send you a “shot list”?
I would be happy to provide you with a list of the general formal photos that I take on a wedding day and even include that in my pre-wedding questionnaire and ask for any special combinations that you might like.  I ask that you not send an overall “shot list” as trying to shoot from a specific list takes away from the natural, authentic and candid moments of the day.  Most likely, I plan on capturing all of those images on your shot list anyways along with many more!

Can I make you a Pinterest board?
If you would like to make a Pinterest board, go for it!  I recommend you limit it to 10 images of some of your favorite poses or photos that you have seen me take previously.  Try not to pin photos based on their situations as we cannot always control where the sun will be and that type of thing. I cannot guarantee that all of those images will be captured but I will do my best!



Do you have insurance?
Yes, I am both licensed and insured.

What kind of gear do you shoot with?

Can you provide my venue with a certificate of insurance?
Of course!

How long have you been in business?
I have officially been licensed since 2012 but have been shooting on and off for 13 years.

How many weddings have you photographed?
I have lost count!  I shoot over 300 weddings.

Can you hold my wedding date?
Your wedding date can be reserved with a signed contract and 50% retainer of your package price.  Unfortunately a date cannot be held without those two things.

What is required to book you for my wedding?
A 50% of your package price retainer and a signed contract will reserve me for your wedding date. For portraits a 50% retainer and a signed contract is required.

What are my options for payment?
At the moment: cash, cashier’s check, debit, credit or personal check.

What is your payment schedule?
Half of your package price is due upon signing of the contract to reserve your date and the other half is due on your wedding day.  Contact me for a custom payment schedule if needed.

Can we pay you part of the wedding payment after the wedding?
Unfortunately this is not an option at this time.  All payment must be made before shooting begins on the wedding day.

If I have to cancel my wedding or change date, will I get my money back?
Your 50% retainer is non-refundable, but it is transferable to a new date up through the following calendar year.

What if you are sick or die?
If I am sick or unable to make it to your wedding, I will do everything within my power to make sure someone of equivalent talent and price will be there for your day.  My husband has an emergency contact photographer programed into his phone for just that type of scenario.

When should we book you for our wedding?
As soon as possible!  I book weddings roughly up to a year in advance.  It is unpredictable when I might have a date get booked!

If we are running behind schedule, will you stay longer than we booked you?
I do my best to help you plan your wedding day timeline to accommodate for any time of unplanned events so that we do not run so far behind schedule that you need me to stay longer.  But if something happens and you need me to stay, additional coverage can be added on by the half hour at the same rate as when you booked me.

Do you offer discounts for off-season or weekday weddings?
I do not offer discounts, off-season or weekday pricing at this point in time.

Do we have to feed you at the wedding reception?
Yes please!  If coverage is over 5 hours, me and my staff are required to have a meal break. We are fine with vendor meals or whatever you are serving your guests.  I recommend that we be served at the same time as the bride and groom so that when they are done eating, we are done as well and can start photographing the next event. If a meal is not provided for us then we require an hour to leave the venue to go get food.

Can our friends and family take photos at the wedding?
Friends and family are always welcome to take photos at your wedding!  In my contract however it does state that I will be the only professional photographer taking images and using them in a professional way.  I do recommend having an unplugged ceremony so that we can ensure all the important images are captured without distraction.

Can I come shoot a wedding with you?
I do have a specific few photographers that already come and shoot with me, but if you are interested shoot me a note and I will add you to my list!  Unfortunately with all of the inquiries I get I cannot promise that we can make it happen.

Can we grab coffee and chat?
I love getting coffee with other entrepreneurs but unfortunately do not have time to accommodate everyone!  Shoot me a note however and I’ll see what I can do.

Do you need a second shooter?
At this time I do not need any other second shooters, but feel free to shoot me an email and let me know you are interested and I will keep you on my list.

Who built your website?
My website is a Prophoto WordPress based website.  I purchased a template which I customized myself
