Ethereal Woodland Elopement at Lincoln Park

Ethereal Woodland Elopement at Lincoln Park
Eddie & Allison // Part I

Wow, this shoot has such a story and I am not even sure where to start!  My sister-in-law, Angie and I have started a styled shoot group on Facebook to bring together vendors and photographers and create beautiful photoshoots.  This was the first shoot that we planned.  We arrived at Rattlesnake Lake in the morning and started setting up.  It was a gorgeous day and I even got a sunburn.  Everything was perfect and I even got to photograph several of the models and all the scenes before the other photographers were going to arrive.  As soon as our last couple was ready and a few photographers showed up it started to sprinkle, for a moment.  And then BOOM, thunder and DOWNPOUR!!  Thankfully I brought one pop up tent and another photographer arrived just in time with a second one and we were able to get all of our beautiful set-ups covered from the monsoon that hit.

After doing a bit of research about the rain situation we discovered that the forecast had changed since the previous day (of course!) and it was going to rain all evening.  So I made a quick decision that we would go find sun and set-up again.  I (probably illegally) drove my car down next to the lake to move all our precious cargo (and about 5 other photographers followed suit) and we amazingly packed up all the items and made the hour drive over to Lincoln Park in West Seattle where we knew there would be sun!  I was dripping wet but thankful for the amazing community of photographers that rallied together to save the shoot.  And we ended up with amazing images.

This is just part one of a 3 part blog series showcasing this photoshoot.  We had 5 models (2 couples and 1 bride) as well as several different scenes.  This blog is featuring our models Allison and Eddie.  I hope you enjoy!
